Total looks part two!

The boys turn today.
Hassan brought his celebration outfit and James styled his hair to suit.
Doesn't he look smart.

Hassan scrunched dried James hair for a dance competition look. Here he is doing his moves!

Roksana brought in a beautiful outfit for Lydia to create a look on her.

Sophie curled Paige's hair and did a great job of some 'out on the town' make up

Sophie's college student look created by Paige complete with the all important I.D. Badge!

Who grated the iPad for some selfies I wonder???

Total looks part one

Today we had our assessments for creating a total look from head to toes.

Amy was creating a sleepyhead look on Ella
The hair was fishtail plaited and the whole look finished with a cuddly toy.

Chloe created a going into town shopping look on Holly

Curling her her and applying day makeup. The look was finished off with a flower in her hair.

Next it was Hollys turn

Plenty of crimping going on to complete a lunch date look on Chloe.

Georgina brought her prom dress in for Jade to create a prom look.

Jade curled and pinned Georgina her beautifully

Here she is ready for the ball.

Amy also had her hair curled by Ella for a prom look using her prom dress too.

They all passed their assessments! Well done everyone. More to come soon!

Practising his barbering skills

James had chance to practise his barbering skills today when Wilson from last years group kindly offered to be a client. Thanks Wilson and well done James.

Streaking!

Using a streaking cap that is,
Today we learnt how to highlight hair using a streaking cap.

Some of us liked it, some of us ( like Paige in the background) found she liked foils better, as you can see.

Chloe's block looked rather shocked when the cap came off

So we had a bit of fun with it

The ever shrinking circle.

We started the session this morning with a team building activity.
The rule was simple. Everyone must get in the circle of rope.

Easy to start with, we thought.

It's got a little smaller...

Now we are struggling a little bit. But having a good laugh!

Sophie thinks this is a good idea.

It nearly worked.

We couldn't stay in for laughing!

What about putting one foot in said Holly.

Good thinking!

Okay this one needs a bit of thinking about........

Chloe tried her foot for size...nope that's not going to happen.

We did it!

Such a great way to start a session!

First time foils.

Today we had our first session about foiling.
First of all we had to section the hair correctly.

Then after a demonstration by Lisa, we tried ourselves.

We really enjoyed it and Lisa said we did a great job for our first time.

What do you think?

Happy new year!

A reminder of some fun we had before Christmas.
The day for Christmas total looks came and everyone ( well nearly everyone) was feeling a little camera shy and tired.

A few selfies with Lisa had us loosening up a bit and we soon got into the Christmas spirit.

We had Rudolf with a present, an Elf, the ghost of Christmas past, a Christmas tree, a modern mother Christmas, Mary, and the nightmare before Christmas .

We managed it!

Merry Christmas and a happy new year everyone!
