Inverted layering step by step.

We have show you we can section for this cut and now we can show you how to do it.
Holding all sections at 180 degrees is the most important bit to remember.

Take the first section at the crown,

Work your'e way to the front using the guidelines to help you.

Work your'e way to the front then cross check it in the opposite direction to you where you have cut it.

Section off the back

Take centimetre sections straight up at 180 degrees.

Next the sides, and middle sections,

And the final results!

Today we had such fun creating total looks. We had to create a look from a film or a book.

Lydia created a Cinderella look on Georgina.

Holly and Chloe made James into the lady of the Mohicans.

Sophie made Paige into little red riding hood.

Lots of research was needed to made Lydia into an evil minion!

We had Amy as catwoman created by Ella!

And finally Holly being Elsa from Frozen created by Holly with James learning how to apply make up.

Using Neal & Wolf Silk

A client came in his morning complaining she could never manage to get her hair smooth.
We recommended the Neal & Wolf Silk

Just applying a small amount and distributing it through the hair before blow drying.

The results speak for themselves!

The client was very pleased.
To see Neal & Wolf products for yourself visit.

Are these level twos?

Was what Lisa got asked today when we were working on clients!
We were told we were very good and acted in a professional way.
What a boost for us after only 10 weeks!

Here we are in action.

If we didn't have clients, we practised our setting techniques ready for our next session.

It's trick or treat time!

Today was FUN!
We started our total looks unit and decided since it was near Halloween, that's what we would do.
Lisa had a box full of fabric and bits and pieces and we soon dug in.

We worked in small groups with one model and two stylists.

Hassan, James and Holly made a scary mummy!

Sophie, Jade and Amy made a blood thirsty vampire.

Paige, Chloe and Ella made an awesome red witch.

Georgina, Roxy and Lydia made an evil devil girl!

Here we are together.

Remember the personal hygiene sesson we did? Well here are the results.

Some weird bacteria has formed. We know wash our hands more now!

Friday 16 October 2015

Teamwork and building confidence.

Today we took a trip into our local town to test out our questionairres.
We are are armed with clipboards and pens.

We were all nervous at first but slowly managed to pluck up the courage to ask the public some of our questions.

It was so cold we decided to warm up and discuss our findings in Costa coffee.

Back at college we had chance to write up what we found and we are now ready to complete our assignment!
We never thought we would be able to talk to the public like we did.
Not a bad day at all.

Hand Care

We had a lovely relaxing morning this morning.
We learnt how to do hand massages. There are lots of different techniques to learn but watching a video and helping each other we soon got through.
